Ohio River and Tributary Report
For mid-November the Ohio is still running warm 58.5 degrees and the tributaries I have been able to fish are running cooler around 50 degrees, normally I would find fish moving into the tributaries but with the cold nights cooling the shallower water in the tributaries pushing the fish out of the them. When we start getting some colder days the Ohio River will start cooling off and push the fish into the tributaries but this pattern is waiting… for the cooler weather. Being Flexible is key.
Finding current breaks on the Ohio with deeper holes near them have been the money spots bring multi species but the Stripes seem to like them a little more. The bigger the chunk rock and the deeper the holes have really produced some good numbers or really quality fish. Fishing with the current and with shad imitation and burning the bait is getting the bigger girls fired up.
Nuts and bolts
